Our first ENVE Custom Road was a special one for GC, one of our favorite customers to work with. Every one of Gerardo’s bikes come out even more over the top than the last and this one was no exception. For this one GC gave us a pretty open concept and we were able to come up with something to exceed his expectations on design and build.
Living and riding in South Florida, the passion and culture of cycling is ever-present, and I wanted to work in partnership with Black Magic Paint to bring that passion on a canvas that is an ENVE road bike. I was overwhelmed with excitement at my initial viewing of the bike and even more so after riding it.

We started with a pastel teal and pink fade for the base. All the dark design details on the frame that you see on the bike is the raw carbon of the frame and fork, giving just a little peek of the meticulous carbon layup ENVE lays up by hand in Odgen, Utah. That includes all the palms, birds of paradise, seatube lighthouse, grids, inner chain stay, inside of fork, and neon logos. We drew the graphics for the Cape Florida Lighthouse to mask off the raw carbon as well.
All of the flamingos and art deco Enve logos were airbrushed on to look like pink neon lights and give the effect that they are floating above the base. After a couple coats of clear we polished the bike to a show quality glass like finish.
For components, this ENVE Custom Road was built with SRAM Red AXS wireless drivetrain, complete with integrated power meter. The ENVE 4.5AR wheels feature custom anodized hubs to match the paint design. The integrated front end of the bike uses a one piece bar/stem with all of the brake hoses hidden. All of the wheel and bottom bracket bearings were upgraded with Ceramicspeed bearings as well as their OSPW system on the rear derailleur. To finish off the build there is a set of Look Keo Blade Carbon Ceramic Ti pedals and Garmin 1030 mounted on the integrated ENVE X K-Edge Computer mount.
